Police troll Florida carjacking suspect in social media post
Sheriff Ivey wrote a hilarious social media post about Robinson getting his “punk butt” whooped by an older man and his stay at he correctional facility he was remanded to.
“He was fortunate enough to be in Brevard County where he won a few prizes for being stupid including a chauffeured ride to a local medical facility to check his injuries before arriving at his less than luxurious accommodations at ‘Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge!!’” he began in the post.
“At the lodge he was given a freshly washed 2 piece ensemble to get comfortable in, before being shown to his sleeping area in our open floor plan,” Ivey joked.
“We hope you enjoy your stay at our lodge and as we like to say here in Brevard County, ‘Mess Around and Find Out!!’”
Elderly woman makes suspect pay in carjacking
An 83-year-old Texas woman, Lydia Sanchez, displayed remarkable resilience when she was assaulted when a carjacker attempted to steal her vehicle.
Sanchez, who was on her way home from grocery shopping when she was attacked, but fought back against the suspect, even biting him during the struggle.
Despite her efforts, the assailant managed to drag her out of the car and drive off with her vehicle and purse, which was full of cash.
Sanchez sustained injuries, including a swollen knee, bruised ribs, and a fat lip, but was later released from the hospital.
Surveillance footage captured the suspect abandoning the stolen car at a another shopping center.
He astonishingly tried to continue his crime spree by yanking on the handle of truck parked at a seafood restaurant, but walked away with Sanchez’s purse when the door was locked.
Although the family recovered the car, they are still seeking justice for the attack on their elderly relative.
“She’s doing her grocery shopping. She’s 83 years old. Why?” her daughter Evelyn Garza questioned. “To attack an elderly person? Yeah we want him caught!”
Her mother drives the car three times a week to her dialysis appointments, and the family has since re-keyed the locks on her home, as the carjacker took her house keys during the theft.
“Whoever has information, please call the cops,” Garza added. “I mean, get these animals off the streets!”
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information to come forward.
