An angry lesbian “freaked out” on Election Night and murdered her elderly father with an ice axe.

Corey Burke, aged 33, allegedly inflicted a fatal assault, which involved stabbing, striking, and strangling her 67-year-old father, Timothy Burke, at the pricey Seattle home she shared with him on November 5.
Burke reportedly admitted to committing the crime over her father’s refusal to switch off the lights, according to court documents.
Authorities were alerted to the $800,000 home she also shares with her transgender author wife, Samantha Leigh Allen, when a neighbor witnessed her shattering the windows and called 911.
At first, Burke was resistant to allowing police entry, but neighbors voiced concerns for the safety of Timothy, who was essentially home-bound with chronic ailments.
Police said that the suspect was “clapping” when they arrived and seemed to be in the middle of a mental health crisis.
When she came out of the home Burke had blood trickling down her face, she reportedly admitted to officers that she “freaked out” over “something important” tied to Election Day.
Cops discover crime scene
Upon entering the home, law enforcement reportedly found a bloodied silver-and-blue ice climbing axe at the crime scene.
Burke allegedly told the officers that “she knew that she could not convince her father to keep the lights off,” prompting her to retrieve a weapon from upstairs.
Afterwards, she reportedly tripped her father, strangled him, and then launched an attack using an ice axe.
According to police reports, Burke also bit her father and repeatedly hit him with both the blunt and sharp edges of the ice axe.
She admitted to biting her father while choking him because “he was too strong” to strangle, and said she felt relieved once he “went limp.”
After her father started to struggle to breath, she “sat next to him until he stopped,” Burke confessed.
His lifeless body was discovered in the basement, and Burke told police she believed that the murder “needed to happen today.”

She told officers that smashing the house’s windows was an “act of liberation” following her father’s slaying.
The police report states the suspect claimed to have been “reborn” on her 33rd birthday.
After her arrest, Burke was initially hospitalized for a mental health evaluation, but allegedly told police the next day, “I killed him.”
During the interview she mentioned a strained relationship with her father and claimed to be feeling “overwhelmed” on election day.
She described the murder as “really f*****g hard,” and admitted there were moments she doubted her ability to follow through with the crime.
Burke, who works for Jeff Bezo’s aerospace company Blue Origin as a training manager, told cops she wanted help other people “change their attachment to their parents.”
Charged with first-degree murder, Burke is being held on $2 million bail and is scheduled to appear in court on November 21.
