A bad dad in Oklahoma is behind bars after police reportedly found his 15-year-old daughter tied to a tree in the backyard.

Bad dad hit with child abuse charges

Johnny James, 40, is currently incarcerated facing charges of aggravated child abuse and neglect. His girlfriend, Kayla Sharee Clark, 42, is charged with enabling child neglect.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home in a small town near Tulsa, following a child abuse report on July 28.

A woman called 911 and told dispatchers that a 15-year-old girl had been tied to a tree in her backyard for three days, after the family arrived on a vacation from Texas.

She told responding officers that a 15-year-old girl was tied up in the backyard and required medical assistance, noting “a hole in her leg and lesions on her arms,” per the affidavit.

Upon arrival, deputies found the girl beside a red shed and a chicken coop, sitting on a rectangular piece of carpet, with a “ratchet-style tie down strap around her.” She had “a hole in her leg and lesions on her arms,” that required medical attention.

The girl identified the homeowner as her grandmother, who initially denied knowledge of the situation but later admitted to being aware and claimed she was “too afraid” of James to intervene.

Bad dad admits to tying up daughter

When James returned home, he told deputies he had restrained his daughter outside because “she cannot be trusted and likes to lie.”

He claimed that she had only been restrained for about an hour while he was away, then admitted she had been tied up on two separate times during their visit.

“Johnny explained the times she is left outside was to go to the store or church this morning due to her peeing and pooping on herself and not wanting it inside so they sat her outside that way there is no mess,” the affidavit states.

“When Johnny was asked, he stated this was the only option to keep her restrained because he did not know what else to do to help her.”

Meanwhile, Clark claimed she was unaware of the incident, mentioning she was taking a shower and didn’t see the girl outside when they left for church, as she was too “frazzled,” while trying to get to the service in time.

Following their arrests, James and Clark were taken to the Washington County Jail, where they remain on a $500,000 bond. Their court hearing is scheduled for August 9.

The teenager was taken to the hospital by authorities and The Department of Human Services will assume custody of the girl.

Bad dad leaves daughter on the side of the road

In Florida, another bad dad was jailed after allegedly forcing his 10-year-old daughter out of his car and onto a high-traffic street.

According to Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez, witnesses called 911 around midnight on Tuesday when they saw 30-year-old Hector Luis Serrano pushing a 10-year-old girl from his car.

“It’s a very heavily traveled roadway,” Lopez explained. “Very touristy. Pretty dangerous. We get a lot of pedestrians hit by vehicles in that area.”

The witnesses quickly helped the young girl, who was shaken by her father’s actions against her.

“She was distraught at the time,” Lopez told WOFL. “She was crying, she was confused. You know, she’s a 10-year-old little girl. It’s after midnight hours and it’s dark.”

“This type of behavior is unacceptable,” he scolded the bad dad. “I don’t know if this guy ever saw the Little Red Riding Hood story. There’s wolves out there and there’s predators out there that prey on children.”

Deputies soon located Serrano and took him into custody. He reportedly told them that the girl’s grandparents, who are her guardians, threatened him with legal action if he didn’t bring the girl home.

“He said ‘You know what, why don’t you walk to your grandparents,'” Lopez said, noting it would have taken her 20 minutes in the dead of night. “For a 10-year-old girl, it’s dangerous.”

Serrano was charged with child neglect without great bodily harm and remains at the Osceola County Jail on a $2,500 bond.

Police reunited the girl with her grandparents, but Lopez had a scathing message for the bad dad.

“You don’t just drop a child off in the middle of the road and expect her to walk home and point your finger and give direction,” Lopez scolded. “That’s shameful.”

Adoptive parents lock boy in trailer for over a week

In Indiana, the adoptive parents of a 13-year-old boy were taken into custody for allegedly forcing him to live in a camper without a toilet outside their home for up to 10 days at a time.

They allegedly used this tactic as a form of discipline, before they ended up abandoning him at a psychiatric hospital and refusing to pick him up after discharge.

On Wednesday, Patricia and Richard Heitz were arrested and charged with two counts each of neglect of a dependent.

The Department of Child Services (DCS) launched an investigation after receiving a report about the boy being neglected and abused in early July.

According to the report, the victim and his two younger siblings “get ‘whoopings’ with belts and paddles on their buttocks.”

The report also mentioned that the victim was forced to “eat lumpy oatmeal with vinegar” and sleep “outside in the family’s camper during the winter months with no working heat or utilities.”

The Heitzs brought the victim to a psychiatric hospital a day after the report was filed.

Couple abandons adopted son

They informed DCS that the boy’s mental health had “deteriorated” in the last year, and that they “did not want him around the other two children in the home due to his ‘aggressive’ tendencies.”

The Heitzs denied physically abusing the child claiming all the children had slept in the camper at some point and insisting he was “in no danger.”

They reiterated that they did not want the victim to return home and “acknowledged the consequences of refusing” to allow him back.

The other two children in the home both claimed that they were not physically abused, but said their adopted brother made them feel “unsafe.”

The boy told DCS that he disliked his adoptive parents but conceded they were “good people,” though he repeated allegations of being beaten and forced to sleep in the camper, sometimes for over a week.

“[The victim] said the camper didn’t have electricity or heat,” the affidavit noted. “He said there was a bathroom, but he wasn’t allowed to use it, and instead had to use grocery style bags.”

His other punishments included food deprivation and being forced to do hard labor for as many as eight hours at a time.

The Heitzs faced additional neglect allegations on July 12 and 13 because the victim had been discharged from the hospital and they refused to pick him up.

They were reportedly “aware of the consequences,” but Patricia said they did it to “protect the other children.”

The Heitzs reasoned that the child needed more help than they were capable of giving him and would not let him come home, despite never seeking therapy or using medication to curb his alleged behavioral issues.

“Patricia said she and Richard intended to terminate their parental rights, and ‘There’s nothing you can do about it,'” the affidavit said. “Further, Patricia stated she and Richard already made a plan for the other two children should they be arrested.”

The Heitzs were both released after posting bonds of $15,000 and had their initial hearings on Friday morning.

  1. This is infuriating! But there is more child abuse legalized in our schools. How many remember the days when you heard someone say to a child, ‘this is our little secret’, and didn’t know immediately they were a pedophile and were arrested. That’s what our schools are doing to our children. The Lord and Creator had warnings for people who harm children. I pray America wakes up and follows Europe’s standards and turn away from the evil of legal preparators and pedophiles.
