An Arizona man was taken into federal custody after a series of unhinged videos surfaced online.
Arizona man threatens Trump
These posts featured Manuel Tamayo-Torres wielding rifles, shotguns, and a high-capacity AR-15 while threatening to kill President-elect Donald Trump and his family.
Federal agents say Tamayo-Torres posted several “lengthy videos” on Facebook, accusing Donald Trump of heinous crimes and making violent threats against him and his children.
Among the chilling statements, he declared, “You’re gonna die, your son’s gonna die. Your whole family is going to die.”
One particularly alarming video uploaded last week included him saying, “‘This is reality for you now. This is the only reality you have in your future, dying.”
He went on to claim that federal agencies, including the Secret Service, FBI, CIA, and even the military, “are all defenseless.”
Authorities revealed that Tamayo-Torres also made specific threats against Trump’s son, alleging he would end up in a federal prison, face torture, and remain confined to a wheelchair.
Another video showed him threatening Donald Trump directly while holding up what appeared to be a white AR-15-style rifle equipped with a 30-round magazine.
Arizona man made threatening videos nearly daily
It doesn’t stop there—court filings note Tamayo-Torres made these threats almost every day.
Even more alarmingly, Tamayo-Torres made an appearance at a Trump rally in Arizona, specifically an August 23 event at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale.
According to the criminal complaint, most of the videos were recorded inside the suspect’s home, as evidenced by familiar backdrops seen in his posts.
One particular detail from the videos that caught investigators’ attention was his display of legal documents.
Tamayo-Torres had held up a granted petition aimed at dismissing a prior felony conviction.
Ironically, the same document explicitly prohibited him from owning, possessing, or controlling firearms.
Yet, court records claim that he committed firearms offenses during two separate visits to gun stores, where he allegedly lied about his criminal record and any existing protective orders against him.
Images taken from his Facebook profile revealed an astonishing collection of weaponry, federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) officials reported. His “arsenal” depicted on Facebook raised further red flags.
Suspect charged with threatening Trump
Now, Tamayo-Torres faces one count of making threats against a president or president-elect and four charges of providing false information during gun purchases.
He was arrested in California by federal agents for what is described as an out-of-district offense, though the originating charges were initially filed in Arizona.
His federal case will eventually relocate to Arizona for further proceedings.
The allegations laid out in the charging documents make it clear that Trump was the intended target of Tamayo-Torres’ threats, though the former president’s name wasn’t directly used.
Instead, documents referred to Trump as “Individual 1,” identifying him as a public figure who held the role of former President and President-elect.
According to the complaint, Tamayo-Torres accused Trump of harming his children with the assistance of law enforcement officers and Trump’s family members.
Tamayo-Torres’ violent threats didn’t end with Trump and his family. One November 21 video featured him targeting U.S. Secret Service agents, accusing them of complicity in Trump’s alleged “dirty work.”
He delivered a vulgar threat, referencing potential sexual assault in prison for the agents.
He stated, “Secret Service, since you have done a lot of [Individual 1’s] dirty work, you’re the target too, you know that already.”
His tirade included a bizarre challenge, “Bring your guns, your sniper guns, start getting your exercise on.”
He proclaimed he was always ready, even in minimal clothing, for a confrontation.
“Barefoot, my socks, my boxers, naked—I’m always ready for a chase. Think about that, Secret Service boys,” he stated.
