A Houston man checked his Burger King delivery alert and found a buck-naked DoorDash driver on camera with the order instead.
Kiante Matlock told FOX 26 Houston that his daughter spotted the DoorDash notification while he was playing video games inside, so he pulled up the Ring footage before going to the door.
What first looked like a onesie turned out to be nothing at all. The driver had already left by the time Matlock reached the doorstep.
Matlock told FOX 26 that the naked delivery was bad enough, but the food handling and the possibility of someone else opening the door made it worse.
“And then to handle somebody’s food … is ridiculous,” Matlock said. “[There] could have been an underage child coming to the door or a woman. … It’s just sick.”
Matlock said he skipped the food, and DoorDash gave him his money back.
DoorDash told Fox News that it contacted Matlock after the incident and permanently barred the driver from using the service.

“What this consumer experienced was abhorrent, and we’ve reached out directly to offer our support,” a spokesperson said.
“This man’s behavior was vulgar and completely unacceptable, and as soon as we were made aware, our team permanently removed their access to our platform. We do not tolerate sexual harassment or misconduct of any kind, and we stand ready to assist law enforcement with any investigation.”
The driver had not been identified, and Matlock said the bizarre drop-off pushed him to warn other customers about being careful with delivery orders.
“If you have the opportunity to go get your own food, go get your own food,” Matlock said. “But if you can’t, I guess just be careful and get you some cameras, that’s all I can say.”
In California, another DoorDash tie ended in bloodshed after investigators said a delivery worker met a Panera Bread employee through restaurant pickups, stalked her for months and killed her outside the business.
Shalini Thakur, 38, was gunned down outside the Sacramento Panera Bread on September 8 during an afternoon attack that unfolded in front of witnesses.
Homicide detectives later learned that the suspect, 22-year-old Rohit Rohit, had encountered Thakur while making DoorDash pickups from her workplace.
Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Amar Gandhi said Rohit confronted Thakur shortly before 3 p.m. outside the Howe Avenue shopping mall where she worked.
“As the victim attempted to run away, Rohit chased her down, pulled out a firearm, and shot her multiple times,” Gandhi said. “The victim fell to the ground.”
After Thakur collapsed on the sidewalk, Gandhi said, Rohit stood over her and fired into her head at close range.
Rohit left in a vehicle, but sheriff’s deputies later caught up with him and said he “immediately slammed on his brakes.”
“Deputies attempted to call out the driver for some time, but ultimately discovered that he was deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” Gandhi said.
Investigators said the killing came after months of harassment that had already forced Thakur to seek a restraining order.
In January, Thakur found an Apple AirTag hidden under the hood of her car, and Gandhi said Rohit’s conduct became “increasingly alarming.”
Investigators said Rohit later deflated Thakur’s tires, followed her to work and positioned himself as the person who could help her.
He also got a copy of her apartment key and entered her Sierra Boulevard home while she was asleep, then claimed the next day that he had been checking on her because she had not responded to his messages.
Even after Thakur obtained a restraining order, investigators said, Rohit breached it in July by leaving random grocery items outside her front door.
The Department of Homeland Security tied Rohit’s presence in the U.S. to an illegal 2023 entry through Arizona and said U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested him that August.
DHS said Rohit was “released into the country by the Biden administration.”
In North Carolina, a DoorDash run turned into a skull-fracturing attack after a driver honked at a car that sat through a green light.
Christen Phillips, 34, was working a delivery around 1:20 a.m. on August 1 when she stopped at Western Boulevard and Gum Branch Road in Jacksonville behind a vehicle that did not move, WITN-TV reported.
Phillips told Onslow County Sheriff’s Office deputies that she honked after the light changed and the car stayed in place.
The other driver moved aside, then started trailing Phillips as she continued the order, deputies told WITN.
After Phillips dropped off food in the Shamrock Drive area, deputies said, the man she had honked at confronted her as she walked back to her car and hit her in the head with a baseball bat.
Phillips told WCTI-TV she lost consciousness and believes the attacker left because he thought she had died.
“When the guy hit me in the head, and I was knocked out, I believe he thought I was dead, left me for dead,” Phillips said. “It’s a miracle that I woke up.”
Phillips said the attack fractured her skull in multiple places, broke her cheekbone and required brain surgery.
Investigators searched the Shamrock Drive home where Stanley Shockley lives, and deputies said evidence from the search helped tie him to the assault, WITN reported.
Shockley, 44, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, according to WITN.
During a court appearance, a prosecutor accused Shockley of erasing his Ring camera footage, the station reported.
Shockley lives six doors from the attack scene, and a judge ordered him held without bond, WITN reported.
