A bizarre encounter that began on a dating app spiraled into chaos when a Florida man allegedly ran over a foot model after she refused to let him smell her feet.

Foot model attacked on first date

Police say 28-year-old Elmoncy Sercle was arrested after fleeing the scene of an altercation at an Aventura hotel on August 24.

The incident began when Sercle met with a woman he connected with on Seeking.com, according to an arrest affidavit.

The woman, who works as a foot model, told investigators that it was their first time meeting in person.

Once inside the hotel room, Sercle allegedly asked if he could sniff her feet and buy her worn sneakers.

“When I got there, he just wanted to sniff my feet and I didn’t feel comfortable with that,” she told Local 10.

“I mean, you could have my sneakers all you want, and you know, they’re just stinky old sneakers. But people like weird things.”

Foot model run over by fetishist

She agreed to let him by the old kicks for $1,000 and told the suspect the shoes were in her car.

But after she stepped into the bathroom, she said he suddenly bolted from the room.

Thinking he may have stolen from her, she chased him into the parking garage.

That’s when she saw him behind the wheel of a red Mercedes SUV. Sercle drove past her, then turned around and struck her with the vehicle, according to the affidavit.

The woman suffered bruising and abrasions across her chest and arms.

Sercle fled the hotel but was arrested four days later when he attempted to book another room at the same property.

He now faces charges of aggravated battery and has pleaded not guilty in court, records show.

“I’ve never experienced anything like this before,” the model told Local 10. “I’ve met a lot of people who have foot fetishes, obviously, and nobody has ever done anything to this caliber. By the grace of God, I’m still standing today.”

According to reports, Sercle has been involved in similar crimes in the past.

A judge ruled there was probable cause to move forward with the charges and set bond at $3,000. Sercle was also ordered to stay away from the victim.

The Florida case comes as other disturbing incidents involving foot-related crimes have surfaced in recent months.

Janitor convicted after foot assault

In Louisiana, 47-year-old Bobby Mendell Bester was convicted by a St. Tammany Parish jury of sexual battery involving a vulnerable nursing home resident.

Testimony revealed that in March 2018, Bester, who worked as a janitor at the facility, entered the 69-year-old victim’s room and closed the door.

He allegedly commented on her socks before massaging her feet with lotion, asking if she was ticklish.

Prosecutors said he then tickled her feet and pressed them against his genitals.

Witnesses testified that he paused whenever footsteps approached, only to continue his behavior once the coast was clear.

Detectives eventually obtained a warrant for his arrest, but he evaded capture until February 2024.

During questioning, Bester admitted to having a foot fetish but denied the assault.

Another woman testified that Bester harassed her back in 2007, making lewd comments about her feet after initially contacting her and claiming to be interested in buying real estate. Bester now faces between 25 and 99 years in prison.

Subway serial offender out on cashless bail

Meanwhile in New York, prosecutors say 37-year-old Dexter Betancourt was arrested in June after he targeted a woman on a subway platform.

Authorities allege he told the victim she had “nice toes,” then attempted to kiss her feet before exposing himself.

He reportedly urged her to look at him while making vulgar comments.

Police said surveillance cameras captured Betancourt licking his lips inside the station before he fled.

Despite nearly a dozen prior arrests for assault and sex offenses, Betancourt was released without bail because his charges were not bail-eligible under state reforms.

His criminal history includes multiple attacks on women, including throwing one to the ground and biting her face in 2013.

He also allegedly attacked a female officer in 2012 after she caught him smoking marijuana, sources said.
