A man in Indianapolis was filmed assaulting a 14-year-old boy sitting on an electric bike for kids in a neighborhood on Saturday.

Jason Harrell, 46, is now facing charges that include two counts of battery causing bodily harm and one count of intimidation, according to WTHR-TV.

Man attacks teenager riding electric bike for kids

The surveillance video, sent to WTHR by a neighbor, shows a man in a green shirt driving a white vehicle.

He pulls up to the teenager, who is wearing a helmet and sitting on the electric bike for kids.

The Indiana man can be heard accusing the boy of “going the wrong way” before shouting, Tell your f**kin’ stupid-ass dad to come f**kin’ talk to me! I see you on my goddamned street again I’m gonna f**k you up! Get the f**k outta here, you understand?”

Shortly after, the man exits his vehicle, walks around it, and approaches the boy while continuing to shout, “You f**kin’ understand?” The young teenager responds with a nervous “Yes, sir.”

The situation escalates as the man yells, “Get the f**k off my street!” He then shoves the teen off the motorized bike and reportedly punches him.

The man continues by threatening, “I see you on this f**kin’ street again, I’m gonna kill you and your dad, you understand?” the man hollers at the boy before adding, “If I see you on this f**kin’ street again, I’m gonna f**kin’ kill you!”

Eventually, the boy and the man leave the scene, with no additional physical confrontation captured on the tape.

Officers interview assaulted teenager

Police were called to the scene at approximately 3:20 p.m. last Saturday following the incident.

The responding officers spoke with the 14-year-old boy, who claimed he had pulled over to the side of the road when Harrell suddenly approached him in a white vehicle.

According to court documents cited by WTTV, Harrell allegedly extended his arm out of his car to push the teenager off the bike. This particular action, however, is not visible in the video footage.

The situation didn’t end there—documents state Harrell circled back, stopped his car again, and pushed the boy a second time as he was picking up the fallen bike.

Harrell is also accused of punching the teenager in the face while he was on the ground.

The teenager, who was wearing a full-face helmet, informed police that the punch left him with a bloody lip despite the protective gear.

Britney Schwitzke, the boy’s mother, told WTHR that Harrell has a history of targeting neighborhood kids.

“He’s threatened them lots of times,” Schwitzke said. “He sent the police to my house lots of times, but they always say they’re not doing anything wrong.”

“They stay in the neighborhood. They’re not out on the main roads or anything like that. They’re outside, playing, being kids,” she added.

Official reports show that police visited Harrell at his residence after the incident.

When questioned, he allegedly complained that kids riding motorbikes had “plagued” the neighborhood.

However, WTHR reported that Harrell adamantly denied touching or hitting the boy, insisting that he had only yelled due to the kid’s “habitual” behavior.

Neighbor arrested for attacking boy riding electric bike for kids

Despite his denial, Harrell was arrested and taken to Marion County jail. During his initial court hearing, a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf.

Reports from WTTV-TV indicate that the intimidation charge is classified as a Level 6 felony, while the other two charges are listed as Class A misdemeanors.

Harrell remains in custody, with his bond set at $500. Reports from WTHR state that he requested 30 days to secure his own legal representation instead of using a court-appointed lawyer.

His next court date has been scheduled for February 25 at 8:30 a.m.
