A 27-year-old woman in Tennessee found herself in police custody after allegedly hijacking a tow truck at gunpoint during an attempt to reclaim her own vehicle.

According to authorities, Kelsey Green stopped a tow truck driver from repossessing her SUV, only to steal his vehicle moments later.

Law enforcement reported that Green was arrested on Monday and now faces a felony aggravated robbery charge.

The incident occurred on the evening of November 24, 2024, outside an apartment complex located on Chancery Street, McMinnville as noted in an affidavit.

The tow truck driver recounted that at approximately 6:50 p.m., he was in the process of towing a 2018 GMC Terrain with Tennessee plates when the incident occurred.

He had just photographed the vehicle and begun hoisting it up when a woman, allegedly armed, climbed into his tow truck and ordered him to get out, which he did.

Green, identified later, reportedly lowered her GMC Terrain from the tow truck’s platform herself before speeding off in the hauler—a 2018 Dodge Ram 5500.

A second individual then entered the GMC and fled the scene in that vehicle as well, police said.

The tow truck wasn’t missing for long, though. Green apparently abandoned the truck near the apartment complex’s entrance, hopping into the GMC with the other woman before making her escape.

Green may have temporarily gotten away, but her freedom was short lived, as surveillance cameras caught the entire ordeal.

Footage from the apartment complex and the in-car camera installed in the tow truck provided a clear view of what transpired.

On top of that, the GMC in question was registered under Green’s name, making it relatively easy for investigators to link her to the crime.

The following day, November 25, the tow truck driver sat with officers from the Violent Crimes Unit.

After providing his account of the events, he positively identified Green in a six-person lineup, solidifying her connection to the tow truck carjacking

Authorities booked Green into the Shelby County Jail, where records indicate she posted bond, set at $75,000, and was released.

Unhinged maniac terrorizes fellow drivers

Further south in Florida, another woman’s chaotic escapades ended in her arrest after an alleged hit-and-run spiraled into a string of violent incidents.

Broward County deputies arrested 46-year-old Melisa Maria Parkinson on multiple charges, including carjacking, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and leaving the scene of an accident.

According to local reports, Parkinson hit a Hyundai Sonata while driving on Interstate 95 near Pompano Beach.

Instead of stopping, she fled the scene, prompting the Hyundai’s driver to give chase. The pursuit ended at a Wawa gas station, where tensions escalated.

At the gas station, a passenger in the Hyundai confronted Parkinson, but things took a wild turn.

Court documents suggest Parkinson reversed her car, narrowly missing the Hyundai.

Then, a good Samaritan who happened to be driving a pickup truck attempted to assist. However, Parkinson allegedly turned her aggression toward him.

Deputies said she followed the pickup truck and rammed it multiple times, causing the driver to lose control.

The truck slammed into the gas station’s sign, leaving both the driver and bystanders shaken.

Parkinson wasn’t finished yet. Authorities claim she then tried to commandeer the Hyundai she struck earlier, but her efforts were thwarted when the vehicle’s passenger fought her off.

Deputies arrived in the nick of time to arrest Parkinson at the chaotic scene.

Parkinson, who appeared smirking in her mugshot, is currently being held at the Broward County Jail. A judge set her bond at $25,000.

Police said that thankfully, there were no serious injuries reported as a result of the series of events.
