An estranged husband forcefully entered his wife’s residence and killed her boyfriend, then made her do unspeakable things to his dead body.

Estranged Husband forces wife desecrate boyfriend’s dead body

Michael Maurice Mack, 48, was arrested for capital murder, after slaying 53-year-old Kelvin Hinton.

Last Wednesday in the early morning hours, Mack allegedly entered through a side window of the wife’s house in Katy, Texas.

She told investigators she awoke to Mack striking her with a rifle. Hinton intervened, yank the weapon away, but Mack allegedly shot him and continued to assault her with the firearm.

She pleaded for her life as Mack, clad in a tactical vest with two handguns on it and another on his hip, threatened to kill her.

With his gun pointed at his estranged wife, Mack told her that he had been watching her for the entire day.

He gave her one of the handguns he had on his vest and told her to shoot Hinton, who was already dead at the time.

“Grab it, b—h,” he supposedly said. “You better shoot him or I’m going to shoot your a– right now.”

She claimed she feared for her life, closed her eyes as Mack placed her hand on the handgun, positioned her finger on the trigger, and forced her to shoot Hinton, an arrest affidavit revealed

The woman said she didn’t know if Hinton was shot again after she pulled the trigger. Mack then told her she had to help dispose of Hinton’s corpse because he couldn’t handle two bodies.

He threatened to kill her if she refused, then wrapped the body in bedsheets and put it in the trunk of her car. They then drove to a gated lot in Vidor, Texas, about 120 miles from Katy.

Mack then dumped Hinton’s body and set it on fire at the location.

She said that her estranged husband eventually let her go and told her was not going to kill her that day.

The wife called the sheriff’s office, who sent deputies to her home. They found evidence of foul play at the crime scene and were able to find Hinton’s body in Vidor.

The couple married in 2019 but separated around 18 months ago. Since then, Mack began stalking his wife.

Investigators deemed her recollection of the horrifying events to be “reliable and credible” while she was interviewed.

They also found surveillance footage at a gas station in Vidor showed Mack around the time of the crime.

He also ran his mouth about the crime he committed to people he is associated with.

“During the investigation, I interviewed several people who spoke with the Defendant after the incident, and he admitted his role in the Murder and Tampering with a Corpse,” the affidavit said.

Meanwhile, Hinton’s family is devastated by what happened to him. He has two daughters and one grandchild.

His brother, Michael Lewis, told KTRK that Hinton only began dating the woman a few weeks ago, but knew that Mack was stalking her and didn’t mention it to his family.

“He didn’t let me know the guy had called his phone and threatened him not to come back to the house,” Lewis remarked.

Capital murder suspect surrenders

Mack was wanted on arrest warrant for capital murder until Tuesday when he turned himself in.

Mack and his lawyer walked into the Harris County Courthouse to surrender on Tuesday morning.

His defense attorney, Wilvin Carter, said that the police have only heard one side of the events.

“I’ve had a conversation with my client, so we know what transpired on the night in question,” Carter remarked.

“Law enforcement has only had a conversation with one of the parties, and that particular party gave information that is not absolutely true.”

Mack appeared before a judge on Tuesday and his bond set at $1 million.
