Sharknado star Ian Ziering was reportedly involved in a road altercation with multiple bikers, who attacked him while his child was in the car on New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles.

Hollywood gossip outlet TMZ procured a video of the incident, which shows the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star apparently being surrounded by a group of individuals riding mini-bikes on Hollywood Blvd.
Ziering, aged 59, proceeded to exit his vehicle and engage in a physical confrontation with one of bikers.

During the altercation, additional bikers returned and encircled the actor, resulting in attacks from multiple people.
Ziering was observed attempting to flee from the group and cross to the opposite side of the street.
The actor didn’t get far as he was pursued by the bikers, who grabbed him by the shirt, slammed him into another vehicle, and hit him multiple times.
Police response Ian Ziering’s biker gang attack
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to the incident after receiving reports of reckless driving and a fight in the area of Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave. on Sunday afternoon.
According to local news outlet KTLA, Ziering was classified as the victim in an official report, but no arrests were made on the scene.
In different video released by TMZ, Ziering is seen comforting his 12-year-old daughter, Mia, who appeared to be distressed by the incident.
TMZ reports that both Ziering’s appeared to be physically unharmed.

Following the event, Ziering shared a video message on Instagram regarding the “alarming incident.”
He explained that while stuck in traffic, his car was approached “aggressively” by one of the riders, leading to an “unsettling confrontation” between them.

Ziering stated that he exited his vehicle to assess if there was any damage to it, which “unfortunately escalated into a physical altercation” from which he sought to protect himself.
Although relieved that neither he nor his daughter sustained any injuries, Ziering expressed deep concern about the increasing audacity of law breakers in Los Angeles.
“The incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups who disrupt public safety and peace,” he wrote.
“This situation highlights a larger issue of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior,” Ziering added.
Ziering concluded his message by urging local officials and law enforcement “to take decisive action against such lawlessness and provide the necessary resources to prevent future occurrences.”
“I have always been an advocate for standing up against intimidation and misconduct, and this incident reinforces my belief in the importance of personal and community safety,” he wrote.
The situation is currently under investigation according to TMZ.
