A Florida woman triggered a violent chain of road rage incidents that ended with her biting a police officer after attacking multiple people in broad daylight.

Mandolyn Shaffer-Brockwell, 37, was taken into custody on February 23 after halting traffic near the Mall of Millenia in Orlando, according to the Orlando Police Department. Investigators described a chaotic sequence that began with an escalating roadside confrontation and spiraled into multiple assaults.

Video captured the moment Shaffer-Brockwell climbed onto the hood of a white SUV before yanking open the driver’s door and striking the woman inside.

The victim, who told her attacker she was pregnant and had a child in the vehicle, later explained the encounter began as a road rage dispute.

According to a police report, the suspect repeatedly blocked the victim’s attempts to change lanes after being honked at. The situation intensified when Shaffer-Brockwell stopped abruptly in traffic several times, forcing the victim to react.

A 68-year-old bystander stepped in after witnessing the confrontation, exiting her vehicle in an attempt to intervene. That decision quickly turned violent as Shaffer-Brockwell screamed at the woman before clawing her face, leaving visible injuries beneath her eyes.

The suspect fled the scene shortly after the assaults, but officers quickly located her nearby. Body camera footage showed Shaffer-Brockwell seated on a curb as an officer approached and informed her she was under arrest.

“Absolutely the f*** not! No,” she shouted while attempting to pull away as the officer moved to restrain her.

“Don’t resist me,” the officer warned, as she repeatedly demanded, “Tell me why, tell me why, tell me why!”

The encounter escalated into a physical struggle as the officer forced her toward a building and attempted to secure handcuffs. At one point, one cuff was placed before she twisted free and yelled, “The f*** I am!” while resisting further.

She dropped to the pavement during the struggle, continuing to fight as the officer tried to gain control. As he attempted to subdue her, she bit his arm, prompting him to shout, “Don’t bite me!”

Additional officers arrived and ultimately subdued Shaffer-Brockwell, escorting her into a patrol vehicle. Once inside, she stopped speaking and appeared disoriented, sitting quietly after the confrontation.

Her mugshot later revealed visible bruising and blood on her face following the struggle.

Authorities charged Shaffer-Brockwell with battery on a person 65 years of age or older, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, burglary of a conveyance, and resisting an officer with violence. Officials have not confirmed whether any of the victims, including the officer, sustained lasting injuries.

She remains in custody with bond set at $1,000 for each charge except the burglary count.

The Orlando case unfolded alongside a separate series of violent road rage incidents reported in Arizona, where a couple now faces multiple felony charges tied to three separate attacks over the course of a month.

Authorities identified the suspects as Alexander Jordan Black and Arianna Foster, who were accused of targeting drivers in Glendale using weapons and aggressive tactics during multiple encounters.

The first incident occurred on February 18 when the pair allegedly tailgated a man traveling with his 8-year-old daughter. The victim pulled into a Walmart parking lot, but police indicated the suspects followed him and continued the confrontation.

Foster rolled down her window and spat on the driver before exiting the vehicle and throwing a rock that damaged the car. As the victim attempted to leave, Black reportedly exited holding a hammer and threw another object that struck the vehicle’s hood.

Investigators estimated the damage from that encounter at roughly $2,000 and noted that the actions placed both the driver and his child at risk.

A second incident unfolded on February 23 in the same parking lot, where police reported the couple again pursued another driver. Court records indicate Foster threw two bricks at the vehicle, with one strike causing approximately $2,500 in damage.

Surveillance footage reviewed by investigators suggested the same vehicle was involved in both incidents, linking the attacks together.

The third confrontation took place along Loop 101 near Northern Avenue, where authorities stated Black accelerated ahead of another car before abruptly braking, triggering a rear-end collision.

After both drivers pulled over, Foster allegedly used pepper spray against the victim while Black carried out further damage using multiple weapons. Police reported he smashed a side mirror and door with a hatchet and punctured tires with a knife.

The victim told officers he believed he was going to die during the attack as the situation rapidly escalated.

Following the incidents, law enforcement issued an alert to locate the suspects’ vehicle, which was later found at a government office in Peoria. Officers arrested both individuals without resistance.

Authorities noted the pair were still wearing the same clothing seen during the incidents, and weapons including a hatchet and pepper spray were visible inside their vehicle.

Black and Foster now face multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault, endangerment, and criminal damage. They remain in custody with bond set at $150,000.

Separate footage from California captured another aggressive road encounter, this time involving two cyclists who said they were targeted during a training ride.

The incident occurred March 21 in Newport Beach as cyclists Ben Byra and Luke Fetzer were preparing for an upcoming race. Video shows a blue BMW approaching from behind and closing the distance dangerously as the riders traveled in a bike lane.

Byra maneuvered onto a sidewalk to avoid contact, but the driver continued aggressive movements, accelerating past them before again approaching within inches of a rear wheel.

“Just zooms by us, gets the red light and then, as far as I know, like 30 seconds later, he’s inches away from my rear wheel,” Byra explained.

A second vehicle, described as a black and red Corvette, joined the encounter, with occupants shouting slurs and throwing objects at the cyclists.

Fetzer explained that the situation escalated further after he sprayed water toward the vehicle in response to the verbal attacks.

“He called us slurs, and me spraying some water on his car was in retaliation to that,” Fetzer stated.

The confrontation intensified as the drivers reportedly exited their vehicles further down the road and moved toward the cyclists in what was described as an attempted physical encounter.

“We’re going 30, 40 miles per hour downhill, so if they did touch us, it wouldn’t have been good for anyone,” Byra continued.

Police in Newport Beach documented the incident, though officials have not announced any active investigation into the encounter.
