A New Jersey woman is in police custody after she allegedly used the popular dating app Tinder to try and arrange the murders of her former boyfriend and his teenage daughter.

New Jersey woman plotted death of Philly cop

Jaclyn Diiorio, 26, is facing multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree attempted murder, one count of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, and third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

According to a statement from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, law enforcement was alerted to what was described as a “murder-for-hire plot” involving Diiorio last week.

WCAU-TV obtained court documents that showed Diiorio had allegedly reached out to someone through Tinder and revealed during their communication that she was looking to contract a hitman.

The suspect’s would-be victims were her ex-boyfriend, who is a member of the Philadelphia Police Department, and his 19-year-old daughter.

Authorities claim Diiorio was willing to pony up $12,000 to have the father-daughter duo murdered.

Hair dresser caught in the act

Their first face-to-face meeting reportedly occurred on March 31 in a Wawa parking lot located in Gloucester Township.

A second meeting happened on last week in another parking lot, this time outside a Dollar General.

It was there, according to the affidavit, that Diiorio asked to see the hit man’s driver’s license before handing over $500 in cash as an initial payment.

Little did Diiorio know, the person she had contacted through Tinder was actually working with law enforcement.

Shortly after that transaction, members of the Gloucester Township Police Department Special Response Team moved in and arrested Diiorio at the scene.

Authorities also reported discovering a bottle of alprazolam in her possession during the arrest.

The prescription medication, used to treat anxiety and panic disorders, was missing its identifying label.

New Jersey woman dated alleged victim for a year

During a press conference, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay said that the match between Diiorio and the informant originated from a mutual romantic interest on Tinder, not due to a planned police sting.

Investigators confirmed the two had been in communication via phone calls and texts from March 31 to April 4.

“The informant advised that Diiorio has been adamant about killing her ex boyfriend,” the probable cause statement read.

The cop targeted in the murder-for-hire scheme told investigators that Diiorio previously worked as his hairstylist.

They reportedly dated for about a year before ending the relationship on March 6.

MacAulay said during the press briefing that “there were clearly problems” between the two.

In 2024, Diiorio obtained a temporary restraining order against the officer, though it was later dismissed, according to court filings.

She is currently being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility.

Kayak tour guide kills guest at resort

In a separate and equally disturbing case out of Florida, a man working as a kayak tour guide in the Florida Keys has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman found hidden inside a resort room.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Dylan Lamb, 33, is accused of killing 43-year-old Nadyne Marie Tillman at the Amoray Dive Resort in Key Largo.

Authorities say the two had just met earlier that same day—Saturday—before Tillman was found dead later in the weekend.

The sheriff’s department announced via a Facebook post that Tillman suffered injuries “consistent with being beaten,” and that her body had been concealed inside Lamb’s room.

Tillman’s loved ones alerted authorities when she stopped responding to messages, something they said was highly unusual behavior.

Police say they recovered her body on Monday morning, hidden in a crawl space behind the air-conditioning closet inside the resort room.

By the time the discovery was made, new guests had already begun staying in the same room.

The Miami Herald, referencing an unnamed law enforcement source, reported that hotel cleaning staff came across blood-stained and dirty bed sheets wrapped in trash bags inside Lamb’s room following his departure. However, no report was made to authorities at the time.

Investigators also noted that Lamb initially refused to leave the room when police approached him.

Public records indicate that Lamb was previously convicted in October of grand theft auto and received a sentence of one year probation.

He is now facing a list of serious charges including homicide, kidnapping/false imprisonment, evidence tampering, and solicitation of prostitution.
