Authorities have charged Victoria Goodwin, wife of “Ghost Adventures” host Aaron Goodwin, with plotting to kill her husband in a conspiracy involving a Florida inmate, law enforcement officials confirmed.
“Ghost Adventures” star’s wife arrested
Victoria, 32, was taken into custody on March 6 and faces charges of solicitation to commit murder and murder conspiracy, according to Clark County, Nevada records.
She is scheduled to appear in court for the first time on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., after being accused of attempting to arrange for a hitman to kill the 48-year-old television personality in October 2024.
Currently being held on $100,000 bail, Victoria remains in custody as investigators continue to piece together the details of the alleged plot against the Discovery Plus star, who was born in Oregon and is known for his work with paranormal investigator Zak Bagans.
TMZ reported on Monday that authorities say Victoria’s involvement in the scheme surfaced when they discovered her communications with a Florida prison inmate, where she allegedly initiated discussions about eliminating her husband as a means of getting out of their marriage.
Police reviewed messages between Victoria and the inmate, in which she allegedly wrote: “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
According to investigators, Victoria shared details about Aaron’s location while he was filming his show in California, providing critical information to the individual she believed would carry out the murder. Authorities said she agreed to a deal that involved paying $11,515 to the hitman.
Evidence collected by police suggests that Victoria made an initial payment of $2,500 to facilitate the killing.
A message from the inmate to an associate reportedly read: “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room … I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?”
Authorities uncovered the alleged conspiracy after prison officials in Florida seized and examined the inmate’s phone, which contained incriminating evidence, law enforcement sources told TMZ.
Wife denies plotting to kill “Ghost Adventures” star
Victoria, however, has denied any intention of having Aaron killed. Police said she characterized the discussions as mere “daydreaming or fantasizing about being without her husband.”
She also claimed that the money she sent to the alleged hitman was meant to help him obtain cell phones, TMZ reported.
Victoria admitted to law enforcement that she had confided in the inmate about problems in her marriage, but she maintains that no real plan was set in motion.
Sources close to Aaron told TMZ that he was “blindsided and devastated at this turn of events,” believing that his marriage had been a happy one.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, Alex Jones, the founder of InfoWars, announced that one of his reporters had been murdered in Texas over the weekend.
Jones took to social media on Monday, alleging that Jamie White was killed the previous night and speculating about possible motives behind the crime.
Infowars reporter “brutally murdered”
“We are deeply saddened to inform you that InfoWars Reporter Jamie White was brutally murdered around midnight Sunday night due, in part, to the policies of the Soros Austin, TX D.A. Jose Garza,” Jones wrote on X.
“We pledge that Jamie’s tragic death will not be in vain, and those responsible for this senseless violence will be brought to justice,” he continued. “Jamie’s important work will be carried on through InfoWars, our readers, and our cherished listeners.”
Jones elaborated on the incident during his broadcast, stating that White was killed outside his home, just a few miles from the InfoWars studios.
He accused Austin’s Democratic District Attorney Jose Garza of “aiding and abetting” White’s murder by allowing crime to spiral out of control in the city.
However, White’s sister, Kelly Kneale, provided a different perspective to The Independent. She said she does not believe her brother was deliberately targeted.
Instead, she suggested that he was shot by an individual attempting to break into his vehicle for the second time, noting that a similar attempt had occurred around Christmas.
Austin police have not officially confirmed White’s death but stated that officers responded to an emergency call at 11:57 p.m. Sunday on Doulas Street.
Upon arrival, they found a man with “obvious signs of trauma” who was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The case remains under active investigation.
