Mark Roher, a 52-year-old Florida attorney, found himself in hot water after what was supposed to be a celebratory evening turned into chaos.

Florida attorney arrested

Roher was arrested after an explosive altercation at a wedding buffet on January 18 at Boca Lago Country Club. Police accuse him of smashing a plate over another man’s head, sparking a massive brawl.

The trouble reportedly began at the prime rib carving station. Witnesses say Roher grew agitated when a father allowed two children to cut in line.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the father initially tried to diffuse the situation, even turning his back on Roher to avoid conflict.

But instead of letting it go, Roher allegedly escalated things—he walked up to the man and struck him over the head with a plate, shattering it upon impact.

The chaotic scene quickly spiraled, with other guests jumping in as more dishes were broken during the melee.

A waiter who witnessed the incident corroborated the victim’s account, stating the plate broke when it made contact with the father’s head.

Florida attorney claims he’s the victim

Despite the accusations, Roher insisted he was the real victim. Video footage from the arrest revealed him telling deputies, “I want to press charges against him because out of the numerous people that beat me up, he’s the only one I could identify as kicking me.”

He added, “I saw him. He’s the only one I saw kicking me, so I don’t know why he’s not getting charged.”

While Roher initially invoked his right to remain silent, he later engaged in a heated back-and-forth with the officers, complaining about the optics of being walked to the police car.

“I don’t think it’s right that you’re parading me in front of them,” he said. A deputy rebutted, “We’re not parading you, sir. We’re putting you exactly in the car.”

Victim tried to walk away from unhinged Florida attorney

The victim later told law enforcement that he had tried to “remove himself from the situation” by walking away, only to be blindsided by Roher’s alleged attack.

He claimed Roher not only hit him with the plate but also shoved him, prompting the father to grab Roher by the collar.

When questioned, Roher alleged that he was injured while other wedding guests intervened to pull him away. While he admitted to pushing the father, he denied breaking a plate over his head.

However, the arresting deputy found sufficient evidence to conclude that Roher “did actually and intentionally touch and strike the victim” with the plate, which was classified as a weapon in this case.

Charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, Roher posted a $1,000 bond to secure his release from Palm Beach County Jail. His court date has been set for February 20.

Married Florida lawyers assault babysitter

Elsewhere in Florida, an equally perplexing legal scandal has unfolded involving a married couple, Gabriel and Sarah Warren, both 40-year-old attorneys.

The Warrens’ legal troubles began on March 10, 2023, when their babysitter, who had been with the family for years and considered them “parental figures,” reported a horrifying allegation to police.

According to the babysitter, her usual arrangements—babysitting alongside her boyfriend—had changed after their breakup. That Friday night, she was left alone at the Warrens’ residence while the couple enjoyed a date.

When the couple returned home, the babysitter described Sarah as “super drunk.” Sarah then changed into what the babysitter described as a “very provocative” nightgown with no underwear and reportedly sat next to her on the couch.

The babysitter alleged Sarah began to straddle her, kiss her, and confess that the couple had been wanted to sleep with her for an extended period of time.

When the babysitter attempted to distance herself, she claimed either Sarah or Gabriel—or both—would physically restrain or block her from leaving.

Sarah allegedly instructed Gabriel to “make her want to stay,” which reportedly led him to touch the babysitter. ”

The ordeal finally ended when the Warrens allowed the babysitter to gather her belongings and leave. Later, she texted her ex-boyfriend an “SOS” and called a family friend, saying she was hyperventilating.

Initially hesitant to report the incident due to the couple’s legal influence and her relationship with their child, the babysitter ultimately decided to file a police report days later.

Florida attorney’s disbarred

She handed over her clothes from that night as evidence, which revealed DNA that matched the Warrens.

The Warrens initially maintained their innocence, with Sarah’s attorney asserting, “We believe that this was a completely consensual circumstance and we have no idea why this other lady takes a position otherwise.”

Despite their claims, they accepted a plea deal in June 2024, pleading no contest to a reduced charge of unlawful use of a two-way wireless communication device to facilitate a felony. They were both disbarred after accepting the plea deal.

In exchange for their plea, the couple was sentenced to just 15 days in county jail and four years of probation. Additionally, they issued a public apology to the victim.
