A psycho stripper at a vegan gentleman’s club in Portland, allegedly ambushed and stabbed the club’s DJ earlier this month.
Psycho stripper attacks co-worker
Footage from surveillance cameras at the strip club is said to have captured the violent scene in hi-def detail.
The attack reportedly took place late on December 8 at Casa Diablo Vegan Strip Club in Portland, Oregon.
According to authorities, a dancer identified as Lathan is accused of approaching Duncan Allen—a DJ with more than ten years of experience at the venue—and attacking him from behind with a knife.
Security video corroborated the accusations, with footage of Lathan creeping behind Allen and launching the assault, stabbing him several times in a sudden and vicious manner.
“I was on my computer getting some songs ready, and next thing I knew I felt like a 500-pound man punch me in the back as hard as humanly possible,” Allen recounted the attack to KPTV-TV.
He soon discovered it was not a gigantic man who attacked him, but a tiny dancer.
“So I turned around expecting there to be a huge dude about to fight me, and it was her, and she was standing there holding a knife.”
Dancers saved DJ’s life
Allen said it was the fellow dancers on site who played a crucial role in saving his life.
“Half the girls were obviously shook and started freaking out — but the other half of the girls were instrumental to my survival,” he told KGW-TV.
“I was fading in and out of like consciousness because of my blood loss and oxygen loss. So everything around me was getting blurry, everything was getting white.”
Emergency services arrived just six minutes after the stabbing, Allen noted, adding that the short response time may have been the difference between life and death.
He claimed that if the ambulance showed up a few minutes later, he would have died to to blood filling his lungs.
“I still didn’t know I was stabbed at that point,” Allen noted. “Then I took a breath in and realized my left lung had collapsed.”
He disclosed that he sustained two stab wounds to the back and another under his left armpit, which required medical intervention at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center.
Authorities later discovered Lathan hiding in shrubbery near the club after she allegedly fled.
Two knives were reportedly recovered at the scene—one with what police described as a “red stain on the tip,” according to the arrest affidavit.
A court document mentioned that Lathan “continually said she is ‘pleading insanity'” while being apprehended. Police stated that the arrest was carried out without further incident.
The club’s owner, Johnny Diablo Žūklė was stunned by the incident and reflected on Lathan’s history at the venue.
“She was always a little off, but she never exhibited signs of violent tendencies,” Žūklė said. “She definitely had a mental health crisis.”
Psycho stripper possessed by “demon”
“I think she had intended to kill someone, and it just happened to be Duncan, and when I think about it,” he added. “When she was in the dressing room for about 10 minutes, she seemed like she was possessed by a demon.”
Lathan, who worked intermittently at the club for about a decade, was taken to Multnomah County Detention Center following the incident.
She faces charges, including two counts of felony assault and one count of unlawful use of a weapon.
Adding to the suspect’s background, court records revealed that Lathan had pleaded guilty to charges of criminal mischief for property damage last summer.
She was on probation for the offense, which required her to complete a mental health evaluation and pay restitution exceeding $1,000.
Meanwhile, Allen’s friends have rallied to support him during his recovery, launching a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his medical expenses. The fundraiser has so far collected over $10,000.
Allen reflected on how lucky he got that he walked away from the incident with only a collapsed lung.
“She could’ve cracked my ribs. She could have stabbed me in the kidney. She could have stabbed me in the neck. She could have stabbed me in the spine,” he remarked.
He believes that she should face stiffer penalties than what she was charged with.
“If I have to be honest with you, I think she should get charged the highest, because the fact is, this was premeditated,” Allen noted.
